Several significant social, economic, environmental and technological factors have emerged in recent years that will have a transformative impact on urban areas in the future. Many cities have been in the forefront in addressing climate change adaptation and mitigation, demographic shifts and changing lifestyle preferences, and fluctuating employment and transportation paradigms. This Panel Discussion: Responding to Change & Building Resilience will highlight some of these external factors and panelists will showcase how different communities are responding to the environmental, housing, transportation, and equity challenges created by these future forces.
