UNITY PLAZA Dallas, Texas
Award of Recognition, AIA Philadelphia
The design for the approximately $10 million project consists of a pedestrian oriented plaza that, defined by a tree-and-activity-lined Boulevard, contains a pavilion that will be at the heart of the district. The building consists of a 150 foot-high tower and a glass and steel pavilion, awash in light and digital art media. Located at the start of City Place West Boulevard, and adjacent to the North Central Expressway, the plaza will serve as the west portal entrance for DART's underground City Place light rail station and as the future terminus of the McKinney Avenue trolley.
